Hi, I’m Felix and I run Sounds Like. I am a Sydney-based kiwi, born in London with my formative years spent in Auckland. As a music producer and engineer I’ve been working in the field for over a decade, producing and mixing sound for advertising, visual content, song writing and podcasts. I have also been a DJ for many years and love curating unique sound experiences for music events. My journey in this field has been driven by a passion for the transformative power of music and the way sound can elevate visual content for commercials, film, and gaming.

My love affair with music began in Auckland, where I had guitar lessons from the age of seven to my late teens. During that time, I developed a deep appreciation for Spanish Flamenco and classical music.

I thoroughly enjoy both the technical and creative aspects of music production and spend hours learning and developing my skills. The wonderful thing about this field is that it continues to evolve and push boundaries and with AI making certain aspects of the work, such as cataloguing sound effects, voice over recording, mixing and mastering more efficient, that leaves more time for me to focus on the creative side of things.
